Nimbus

AI-native filesystem · Early access

Instant access to terabytes of data on any computer, using zero disk space.

One persistent drive for you, your team, and your agents.

macOS · Linux · Windows coming soon

Terabytes of files.Zero bytes on disk.

Open and edit everything in Nimbus right from Finder, without it ever filling up your computer.

Never wait for file transfers again

Nimbus streams files in real time, straight to the app that asks for them. No more juggling hard drives or waiting hours for large file downloads.

  • Files open instantly

Nimbus streams byte ranges from the cloud in real time, meaning files don't need to be downloaded for them to be used in applications.

  • Instant sync and collaboration

Hit save and your changes are synced to all devices connected to the same Nimbus drive in seconds. Your teammates see your changes instantly.

  • Works with the apps you already use

Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Blender, and Premiere all see Nimbus as a normal drive. No extensions or plugins required.

  • Your agents work in it too

Agents read and write the same files you do. When an agent saves, the change appears on every connected device.

  • Persistent and versioned

Every change is a version, so nothing is ever lost. Fork a whole drive in an instant, without copying a byte.

Find anything.Ask anything.

Search 10x faster than Spotlight, across your Mac and every Nimbus drive. Ask Nimbus to work with files that don't exist on disk.

Nimbus is a cloud filesystem that appears as a regular drive on macOS and Linux, with Windows coming soon. Open and save files with the apps you already use while Nimbus keeps them in the cloud and up to date across your computers. You can work with terabytes of files without filling your computer or carrying external drives.

Both. Solo builders use Nimbus as a single drive that follows them across machines. Teams share one drive across everyone's Mac or Linux box, with every change synced in seconds — no separate plan required just to get started.

Those services sync a folder to your disk — everything still has to fit locally. Nimbus mounts as a drive and streams only the bytes an app actually requests, so a 10 TB project can sit on a laptop with 256 GB free. It's also built for agents from day one, not bolted on afterward.

Files aren't downloaded just to open them. When an app reads a file, Nimbus streams the byte ranges it asks for in real time, straight from the cloud. Nothing touches your disk unless you explicitly cache it, so your drive's used space stays close to zero no matter how much is in Nimbus.

Yes. Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Blender, Premiere — anything that opens a file from a drive works with Nimbus, with no plugin or export step, because Nimbus looks like an ordinary folder to macOS and Linux.

The moment you hit save, Nimbus uploads the change and every other device connected to that drive sees it within seconds — no manual sync, and no conflict-resolution dialogs to babysit.

You need one to reach files that aren't cached locally, since Nimbus streams from the cloud rather than storing a full copy. Recently used files stay available through short gaps, but for now Nimbus assumes a working connection — full offline mode is on our roadmap.

Nimbus streams only the bytes a file actually needs, so most day-to-day work — documents, spreadsheets, CAD files — feels instant even on modest connections. For large video or render exports, a faster connection makes the biggest difference.

Yes — that's a core part of the design, not an add-on. Agents read and write through the same drive as everyone else, so when an agent finishes a task, the change appears on every connected device immediately, just like a teammate saved it.

Yes. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and each drive's access is scoped to the people you invite. We'll publish a full security overview before general availability.

An API and SDK for building on top of Nimbus drives are on the roadmap. Join the waitlist and we'll reach out when early access opens up.

macOS and Linux today. Windows support is coming soon — join the waitlist to get notified the moment it's available.

Any Mac or Linux machine on a currently supported OS version. Nimbus doesn't need extra RAM or disk headroom to work with large drives, since files aren't downloaded until an app asks for them.

Pricing hasn't been announced yet — early waitlist members will be the first to hear final plans and get a preview of early-access pricing.
